That Mengele article is fascinating and has me salivating at its applications.
I intend to use that information against the anti-abortionists.

Its simply a matter of potential.
I think he’s asking how the information could be used against them at all; why they would find it bothersome. I myself don’t really see it, but then I don’t pay much attention to them either.

I never heard that Mengele was trying to figure out how twins were conceived, I thought he just wanted identical subjects for progressive disease studies and stuff. That’s a pretty crazy legacy…

Okay, this is getting out of hand. I have seen WAY too many happy Nazis in the last three days.
Much like his defense of Libertarianism, Zenrage’s vague allusion to the article being a ‘silver bullet’ against anti-abortionism makes no sense.
Also, Nazi science proved incredibly useful to the US and world at large.
Yeah, because those twins surely were birthed with Nazi genes…. just like, uh, all other Germans. I guess ( I am German, so I get to be ironic towards ourselves, wheee! ). 😛
Does that mean for Zenrage that Germany is a good argument against the anti-abortionists? ^^
BTW, I lived in the Colonias Unidas ( Obligado, Hohenau and Bella Vista ) for four years, some of my friends there told me that a still used VW Beetle belonged to Mengele. Wouldn´t surprise me in the least, the way some cars look over there. 🙂

I am utterly blown away by the twins article. Regardless of whether or not nazi super-science played a role, the idea of a single community with an abnormally high rate of twin births is fascinating in itself. Although, it wasn’t clear if these blond-hair, blue-eye births were coming from parents who carried those genes or not.

As far as I’ve heard, the Mengele stuff is BS. The man wasn’t even a real doctor, he was a sadistic bastard. He wouldn’t have had the tech or the knowledge to do it, anyway. Hell, we can’t do it today. I don’t deny that Mengele might have lived there, but he didn’t do any kind of genetic tinkering.
And the creepy part of those photo albums is, the Nazi guys there weren’t evil, per se. They really thought they were doing the right thing.
