I find it weird that so many of the responses I’ve read to the news have focused on what Deadpool’s reaction might be.

R.I.P. Bea Arthur indeed. This is one more trail for her to blaze, and unfortunately we can never have her sharp commentary of it. As for Wade, he cries tears of inconsolable sadness.

Nein. Candice Bergen? Murphy Brown certainly hit those spots 11 years ago. Is BL as forthright?
I expect a deadpool one-shot in the vein of fallen son.

Well, when someone dies our thoughts always go to those most stricken by the loss.
Boston Legal is at least that forthright. And is actually quite funny.
Especially William Shatner, who is largely playing a caricature of himself.
… Yep, I’m another of those bad, bad people whose immediate thought was “okay, make sure Deadpool isn’t left alone tonight”.
“30 Rock”? Liz is an outspoken liberal and she’s single and older, yet remarkably successful and confidant (when it comes to doing her job — not so much other things). The big difference is that the show is strictly for laughs. The writers know not to stray onto the ground of dramedy.
The thing is…is it necessary today to call attention to a woman being a liberal feminist divorcee who gets action? There are other things to tackle, sure, but…I like to believe we’ve jumped that hurtle. Right? Riiiight?
How about a memorial “Why I should write The Golden Girls” entry?
