I’m ashamed to admit that it took me until the coffee brewer to catch on.

I made it to the flawless verbal universal translator, but the HD projector had me raising an eyebrow.

“You can even talk and shave at the same time.”

“Okay, I’ll meet you in ten… are you using a vibrator?”

The projector made me go “Wow.. how much is this gonna cost?”

The translator made me go “Neat, though it probably doesn’t work nearly as good… marketing and all that.”

Then, and only then, did I actually read the third option, and I realized the thing was a fake. Man. Crazy.

Then I saw what it was actually about.

“Oh, come on, couldn’t it at least be about a really good phone? Or /something/ electronic? What a jip.”

I followed the link. I smirked at the joke. Then my jaw dropped to see it was little more than a way to trick people into thinking my home was interesting.

I too, was suckered until I saw the coffee maker.

Projector – Damn, I might actually have to get into these things.

Translator – Innovative, but I doubt it would actually say “You betcha”

Coffee maker – No Way. No waaay.

Shaver – What?

Harmonica – OH, COME ON NOW! That’s just silly.

It hurts believability that the phone is a centimeter wide and still runs all this stuff.

Also, it looks like it’s made out of memetic polyalloy, given the fact that it seems to shapeshift out the razor and harmonica.

I looked at the projector first and had serious doubts, then I saw the razor and said BULL. S#!T.

I’m sure nova scotia has everything I want, If all I want is salmon.

My wife works at a callcenter for a cellphone company. She’s dreading the calls from people wanting to preorder the thing because they didn’t look at it enough to get the joke.

Bizzarely, the universal translator and/or decent projector (but in a larger unit) is probably within the next five-ten years.

I actually started to disbelieve it before I saw the options. It was the keyboard that made me say “There is no way that keyboard is useful for anyone”

Sure it’s cool. But as an ad for Nova Scotia? Ridiculous. Why not just pretend there are dragons there or something? I’d bite.
