Personally, I have trouble believing the sheer volume of penile metaphors are entirely unintentional. Then again, that may be a phallus-y.

.. Hur hur hur.

I hearby award Ms. DiManno the Andrew McCarthy Award for use of Mixed Metaphors and Badly Hidden Fearmongering.

“[T]he…issue isn’t about ‘us and them,’ it’s about us and us.”

And that, right there, would solve SO MUCH if only more people believed it.

How I wish someone who writes as well as you were writing for SFist…

What did the star of Weekend at Bernie’s ever do to have that award named after him?

Sweet Fucking Christ.

Your Torontoist article reads like a journalism student’s pot-inspired report that he half-assed the day before dropping out. Why don’t you write something with substance instead of looking for non-existant innuendos from atop your imaginary pedestal?

As bad as DiManno’s column is, it’s far more substantial and important than your rant. I firmly believe your article is a waste of internet. Seriously, this kid makes more relevant and thought-provoking points than you: http://www.textfiles.com/uploads/koalas.txt

@Evan

That’s a good point. I shouldn’t tar Andrew McCarthy with the bad name of his NRO counterpart. Maybe I’ll rename it after Andrew Breitbart instead!

Cool story, craig. Care to share any actual opinions or insights? What do you think of this issue?

I think the “analogy” thing is saying because none of the high-jackers sold porn there’s no reason to ban pornagraphers from the area.

You’ll have to wait for his refractory period to end.

I have to say, sometimes MGK attracts the most hilarious examples of the classic “fake (actually glaringly right-wing while unaware how obvious it is) centrist” that I’ve seen.

In Ms DiManno’s half-hearted defense for the description of 9/11, it’s possible she intends for the article’s audience to be composed of entirely nine-year-olds. She probably tried to sell it to Highlights originally, but they, unsurprisingly, rejected it.
