Speaking of Deadpool, y’all should go read the latest Avengers + X-Men featuring a team-up between Deadpool and Hawkeye written by Dr. McNinja’s Chris Hastings. They shoot pirates with trick arrows. It’s pretty rad.

Is this is a tacit endorsement of these casual pedophilia jokes spreading throughout the Internet? Tasteless.

It’s hard to communicate what is or is not sarcasm via text, so let me be clear: I’m not being sarcastic. A person walking around dressed as an ostensible reference to the Pedobear should be corrected (if he didn’t intend or understand the reference) or confronted.

Sexual abuse of children is a real problem worldwide. Sexualization of minors is a real problem in the realms of geekdom with which this blog’s readership interacts.

If Mr. Seavey is going to be consistent, I hope he speaks out about this. Pedobear jokes are like prison rape jokes — they trivialize a real problem.
