I knew we’d see Tanquir again. I didn’t expect it to be in this volume, though. Was he close enough to overhear the conversation? If so, then he has a wealth of blackmail information to go with his enormous brass testes.

I expect Tanquir is here to make a deal. If he wanted Kahal and Alric dead they’d be dead now. He just wants their attention.

Here’s a little heads up for those of you who, like me, may have been reading the comic here: I went to the Al’Rashad site to refresh myself on Tanquir, and discovered that, along with some rather neat little character bios, there are also short historical/cultural glosses for each page of chapter 1. Adds some nice depth to the setting.

So I might spend tonight re-reading the first chapter or two over there.

(MGK – any plans to do the same for the other chapters?)

Not just chapter one, they exist for a lot of the comics. For example, during Alric’s harrowing magic carpet ride there’s some interesting discourse on the development of Gundring artillery.
