So recently John Byrne did a one-off “my version” drawing of Dr. Doom in response to the now-infamous Brian Michael Bendis “bad dialogue” Doom panel from Mighty Avengers #11.

Well, let no man say I don’t give them equal treatment.

Doom looks wrong. Like he’s got shrunken limbs or a giant head and torso.

I think his chair is just too short. He’s sitting awfully low-to-the-ground, like he’s sitting in some bizarre bean bag throne.

Doom isn’t making out with any seriously under-aged girls here, or talking about them using words such as “nubile” or “tender”.

This is a perfect example of writing out of character while preserving voice, a concept which a few seemed to struggle with back when you wrote about your Gettysburg Address trick.
