Aww, the puppy loves his baseball.
As always, there’s an undercurrent of smirking smugness that colors all of Jones’ work, but it’s still a lot of fun.
So essentially Rex is the dog version of Captain America. And to think he started out as Green Lantern’s pet before being rebooted into Rex…
No Cap is the human version of Rex. Don’t see Steve killing Nazi’s with his teeth, do ya?

I was going to send this your way, but I figured one on the people posting “I immedeately thought of MGK’ would do so, since those were both my immedeate thoughts as well.
Honestly, I’m only surprised you didn’t already have this on the site somewhere…
Who put Rex on steroids? I always thought he was just a dog who just happened to be awesome.
You know, if he’s been alive since WWII without any bad effects there’s no reason he can’t keep going on into, say, legion time.

Somehow, I don’t know… having an origin cheapens the whole affair.
Clearly the “origin” is just a cover story to throw his enemies off the scent (so to speak).
IF ONLY THEY TESTED IT ON A HUMAN!
I have that issue. It’s got an origin of Ambush Bug, too.
Plus, the Trigger Twins.

They never seem to be able to write the formula down.. no notes.. no research.. just mixing chemicals at random in a lab.
That’s because the formula is a placebo.
Rex just is that big a Nazi killing badass.
No steroids. He is swollen with awesome.
