No, seriously, they send a guy after me if I don’t do that. He has a baseball bat with a nail through it.
That baseball bat with a nail through it might defeat you, but humans won’t stop there. They’ll make bigger bats and bigger nails, and soon, they will make a bat with a nail so big, it will destroy them all!
My big problem with V For Vendetta was that it kind of missed the point of the comic, which was meant to be pro-anarchy, in favour of a fairly pedantic screed against Certain (Bush) Government (Bush) Individuals (Bush). If you’re fighting to restore democracy, blowing up parliament doesn’t exactly make a lot of sense as a symbolic gesture.
It IS the best of the Alan Moore adaptations, I’ll grant you. Not that that’s saying much.

I once got Jeff Kent’s autograph. Isn’t that exciting?

Teletoon? Showing V for Vendetta? Isn’t Teletoon kind of Canada’s substitue for Cartoon Network? Does it bother anyone else that what is eccentally a kids’ network is showing an R rated movie? I mean it would be cut to hell on tv, but just the idea of them showing that doesn’t seem right.

Teletoon shows all kinds of strange stuff. When they first debuted, they kept showing Ninja Scroll every other weekend. I don’t think it was cut at all.

Lister Sage: It isn’t the first time. And it’s probably mostly uncut.
Teletoon post-watershed has never really embraced being a children’s network, with Lia’s example of uncut, titties and blood rain being one example, and others being the swear ridden original programming like Sons of Butcher and Life’saZoo.tv
They even got fined the crap out of fairly early on when they screwed up and played a bawdy cartoon they played at night as an interstitial in the early morning pre-schooler lineup.

…..I’m suddenly reminded of Spider Jerusalem typing ‘fuck’ multiple times in response to the Beast’s election.
