*Clap clap clap*

I don’t even follow the “Magic: the Gathering” references, but still – golden.

There’s another artifact out there to rival Rod Blago’s hair, and that’s Texas Gov. Perry’s hair.

Or perhaps they are the Kodo and Kang of the Tonsorial dimension.

Yeah, I think we need some Texas Secession cards here. ๐Ÿ™‚

Bravo, sir. And Al Franken is a pretty powerful card (though you should have just given him Suspend…)

(There actually aren’t any jobs in the Burris reelection campaign — he announced he wasn’t going to bother running for reelection in July.)

Quick few items-
1. I hope the Glenn Beck photo is real.
2. Whatever he’s doing with the chalkboard probably involves bigotry towards anyone who isn’t a WASP.
3. Where’s the I don’t want government interference of my health care, but was screaming for government intervention to stop Terry Schiavo’s feeding from being removed.
4. Rod Blagojevich has the most obvious mob guy haircut ever. Seriously, Mob hair went out a looooong time ago.
5. Rush and the Birfers can suck it, they can suck it long and hard.

@snake:

Yes, it’s real, it’s on the cover of his new book. Hurry up and get a copy before Regnery buys them all!

Comedically grand. For MtG, like malakim said, you could use the ‘Suspend’ mechanic on Obama and Franken. Or start making planeswalker cards, or both. (and there’s the ‘oligarchy’ typo on the Chalkboard). But otherwise just grand.

that’s not a typo, that’s how Glenn Beck spells it

I thought Glenn Beck’s new book was the one where he reinterprets Payne’s “Common Sense” for us. The little people…

Oh, as an aside on Magic, MGK… if you play Casual, give the new Planechase stuff a try. It’s actually rather fun.

I never get tired of these. Though I am very offended that Glenn Beck is a white mana card. Those are the “good” guys! ๐Ÿ™‚

As any dedicated Magic nerd can tell you, white might be the colour of law and justice, but it’s also the colour of organized tyranny and fascism.

Oh I know. But it had to be said. Of course, I also cut my white with red.

I am honestly surprised that Michael Steele was not in there.

His ability should be “Whenever Michael Steele attacks or defends, sacrifice a permanent and discard a card”

You seem to missing a public option card.

I’m not sure what a public option card would be (other than being an enchantment.)

MGK, the Schoolchildren card does not have your website upon it, therefore I surmise that it is not the long form and ergo you are not a real Canadian and must, in fact, be a citizen of Greenland.

Traitor! Marxist! Reader!

Thank you, thank you, thank you. Ghod knows I needed a laugh.

Has anyone noticed the fringies tossing around the phrase “Radical Marxist” a lot lately? That seems to be Glenn Beck’s new favorite epithet. I guess “socialist” wasn’t getting enough traction.

What the hell is a “radical Marxist”, anyway? Is it like a BMX stunt, only done while wearing a Che Guevara t-shirt?

Cap and Trade is actually consistent with the new Magic2010 revision that removed mana burn. I’m impressed.

Thank you for another big bag of awesome, MGK.

As a Pittsburgher, may I suggest a G-20 card?

Cumulative upkeep: 2 colorless mana

Effect text: All players lose their untap phase.
1 colorless mana: Reduce total upkeep for this turn by 1 colorless mana. Any player may use this effect

Flavor text: Attenders, protestors, police, local businesses – if you think it’s going to achieve something, perhaps you should have considered the dickwad faction?

From the “Product Description” (which reads like it’s the actual back cover copy) on the above Amazon link to Glenn Beck’s new book:

Idiots can’t be identified through voting records, they can be found only by looking for people who hide behind stereotypes, embrace partisanship, and believe that bumper sticker slogans are a substitute for common sense.

…sounds like an apt description of Glenn Beck, no? Is he really suggesting that embracing partisanship and bumper sticker slogans makes you an idiot? Or perhaps some snarky, left-leaning copy editor wrote that, and no one’s noticed the irony yet.

I think I’m beginning to lean towards the theory that Beck is running a huge practical joke on all of us. Like Andy Kaufman, but on a much larger scale.

It’s a fair guess, really. When a certain level of crazy is reached–and then surpassed!–you have to wonder if it has become like performance art. I’ve often wondered the same about Ann Coulter (And Her Terrifying Man-Hands); is it at least partly a put-on? Is there a knowing smirk behind the crazy-face mask?
