Youtube is light on information- when did this get made, and for what?

The world needs more Muppets in it.

It’s part of a series of short Muppet videos apparently made specifically for Youtube. Various Muppets have their own channels (Gonzo has Weirdowhatever, Beaker is Meepmeepmeepow) and you can subscribe to them and so on.

It seems that only Jim Henson knew how to apply Muppets appropriately. Aside from a few moments of awesome (like THIS), no one’s done it well since.

Not related, but Symphony of Science made a new video. Dawkins autotunes well, but I don’t know about the others.

I think whoever is behind The Muppets now is starting to get an idea of how to manage them properly.

Also, they have that wrote and starred in Forgetting Sara Marshall heading up the new Muppets movie, which gives me some hope.

The vid was awesome enough, but its inclusion of Crazy Harry made it truly perfect for me.

So many great memories. I have said for years that the Muppets are what is missing from contemporary television (Sesame Street excluded, of course).

That has inspired a lot of nostalgia. Now I really do need to go get the Muppet Show DVDs.

At 3:45 I said “Wow, this is great, but if they’re really serious about doing something with the Muppets, with need Kermit & Piggy”.

Exactly then, we get Piggy.

I’m happy.

Nothing like the muppets to put things in perspective for ya.

That was just awesome, but who is the green Clark Kent impersonator at 3:48?
