Sorry, but I have to disagree.

Tennant was one of the top three doctors, in my opinion.

Curious to see how Smith fares.

Tennant was a terrible Doctor – sanctimonious, hypocrtical and whiney. Having about ten speechs per season about what a wonderful brilliant amazing glorious terrifying wonderful amazing lonely brilliant awesome god that burns at the heart of the cheese on toast and is wonderful is just an additional kick in the nads.

Whatever happened to “The Doctor had never liked goodbyes?” In the old days the doctor would sneak quietly off in the tardis leaving everyone wandering who he was rather than sitting around waiting for someone to tell him how awesome he was. Gah.

The shame of it all is that I really like David Tennant in interviews and he’s been bloody good in other things.

The true greatness of The End of Time is that this is the last time anyone will have to deal with Davies’ poor story structures ever again. I will miss Tennent though. He’s been a good Doctor.

End of Time makes me really happy that RTD is leaving, because he really seems to have lost his touch. Part of my problem was that for the first hour or so, NOTHING HAPPENED. I kept waiting for things to go somewhere, and they steadfastly refused. Then when things did sort of start happening, well, The Master’s big plan ended up not so much as a plan as an improvisation that resulted in one of the most hilarious, least impactful “take over the world” schemes ever. I really hope part 2 makes up for it (I mean, hell, you’ve got Timothy Motherfucking “I Am James Bond, byotch” Dalton as a Big Bad, that’s gotta count for something), but considering RTD’s history of great story setups culminating in terrible terrible endings, I’m not holding my breath. Though maybe he just got it backwards this time.

I watch Doctor Who on the local PBS station, so I still have a couple of years at least to wait for this one. And I’ve still never had an opportunity to see Torchwood.
Yes, there really are a few people left with nothing but broadcast TV.
I could afford satelite or the internet, but not both. I think I made the right choice. (And I could probably find these shows on the internet somewhere, but I haven’t stumbled across them yet.)

And you’re right. Community is a really good show. Who would’ve believed a show with Chevy Chase could actually turn out to be hilarious?

I liked the “Master Race” joke. It was of, course the only reason they made The Master blond to begin with, but still..

I think the return of the Time Lords reveal at the end was kinda weak. I liked The Doctor being the only one of his kind, though I like the idea of the return of Gallifrey.

I gotta be the only person in the world who didn’t think Children of Earth was that great. Started good, then got dull, and then stayed dull. I liked the last several episodes of season two better.

I liked Children of Earth, partly because it was a surprisingly genuine attempt at making Torchwood into something that wasn’t shit, and partly because it seemed to be designed to piss off the genuine fans of the previous two series, who are insane by definition. Also, Peter Capaldi.

I sort of liked the first part of The End of Time, even if it did consist almost entirely of portents of doom. Edited down, it would have been a great first half of a one hour special.

I made the mistake of watching Children Of Earth in one shot. Don’t do it, people. Record it and space it out over several days. Be sure to have razor blades and knifes hidden from you during the final two parts.

And I was okay with “The End Of Time.” I’m curious as to how the Davies era wraps up, and what the circumstances of the regeneration will be.

Master race?

The End of Time was shocking, John Simm was awesome as ever – I honestly think I’d sooner watch him trying to conquer the world every week than have David Tennat faffing about doing his tortured lonely god/shrill manchild bit – but the story was an inconsequential and portentous mess.
