Requiescat in pace.
One of my favorite childhood memories was working with this man, on the New Year’s special. I still remember the studio where we recorded it all; it was a dinky little place, set up in a refurbished private residence. He was always there, directing all the kids, taking time to not only get to know us individually, but to make us feel happy and at home.
I haven’t felt this low since Chuck Jones and Mel Blanc passed on.
Farewell, Mr. Melendez.
Snoopy and Woodstock gone in one fell swoop.
R.I.P. And that animation bit, makes me realise how much I wanted to strangle Lucy and Peppermint Patty. goddamn.
