I think it is a brilliant joke. brilliant blue to be exact..lol

Am I laughing because it’s funny, or am I laughing because I remember that I would laugh now?

It is November 11th, 2009. A Canadian legal student posts a joke melding well known humorous precedents and a famous work by Alan Moore.

I respond with further self indulgent referencing. The morality of the matter eludes me.

By convincing Dr Manhatten to cross the road, Ringo causes traffic to back up that day. The resulting traffic jam causes Adrian Veidt to miss an important meeting in New York that day, during which an analysis of world events, coupled with a bad case of indigestion acquired at a bad Hungarian deli on Bleecker, would have led Veidt into an increasingly paranoid state about nuclear armeggedon, and speculations about drastic means to prevent it. Instead, he decides to devote the rest of his life to his passion for giant lynxes. This, of course, leads to a happier ending for ‘Watchmen’, and a sunnier disposition for Alan Moore, who becomes known for his upbeat comics. It is because of this optimistic writing that leads the reunited Beatles to hire Moore to write their monthly comic-book series, which naturally, is full of peace and love. ‘The Fab Adventures of the Beatles’ goes on to become one of the most beloved comic series of all time (second only to ‘The New Adventures Of Hellcat’), and is largely responsible for the renewed popularity of comics amoung the general population, and their return to widespread newstand distribution.

Ringo knows what he’s doing.

Chicken crosses road. People wonder why. Chicken wanted to get to the other side.

Good joke. Everyone laughs.

OK, the original post didn’t do much for me, but EWHPTIV made me giggle.

A crossed road and an uncrossed road contain the same number of particles. Structurally, there’s no discernible difference.
