Lemme put it this way:

There should be a line of space here.

And today, precisely because of the level of charm described here, most informed kids probably wouldn’t want a nametag with his signature on it anyway.

Can that be described as ironic, or appropriate?

Btw, if you’ve been reading World War Hulk, does it seem to you that the President (and even though they never use his name, it’s clear that it’s Bush) is portrayed as being much more hands-on than he would be in a real life disaster? In the first disaster that happened on his watch, he spent the whole day being flown from place to place without doing anything useful. When Katrina hit, he didn’t even let it interfere with his regular schedule. But in WWH, he’s calling Stark for status reports and calling the Sentry to urge him to stop the Hulk. Isn’t his historic M.O. to sit around being unproductive whenever there’s some kind of threat and let the people to whom he’s delegated responsibility try to handle things?

Katrina was a hurricane. Hulk and his Warbound are an ALIEN INVASION. I know that happens every 5 minutes in the Marvel U, but think about what you’re saying for a sec.

A disaster is a disaster, and despite the title of this event it is not worldwide. It’s pretty much confined to NYC, just like Katrina was confined to New Orleans.

But even if the invasion threatened the safety of every man, woman and child on Earth, it would still be tough for me to believe that Bush would do anything of consequence. Why? Simple. He’d be constantly pissing his pants in fear until he died from dehydration, and that sort of gets in the way of being an effective leader.
