I’ve taken a handful of Benadryl, so I don’t even know if that adds up to 100. But yeah, I concur with your positioning of the candidates; just splittin’ hairs on the percentages.

Of course, remember that Hillary can do no right according to the MSM. Nyuck nyuck.

Personally, I’m enjoying the fact that any of the top 3 for the Dems could really do a fun job there. Though I wish Edwards had a better chance instead of being punked by the media. Blar!

I just saw a headline asking if Hillary’s “tearful moment” helped her win NH.

There are two possibilities as I see it.

Possibility #1: the voters actually let something as inconsequential as a candidate’s mood on a particular day influence them instead of paying attention to their positions, in which case the voters are idiots.

Possibility #2: most of the voters actually couldn’t care less about that and the media only thinks they do, in which case those in the media are idiots.

Either way, it’s depressing.

I’d go with #2, though Hillary showing a touch of emotion probably did help somewhat. Of course, this just means she’ll be attacked as “weak”.

Personally, I’d rather not have a President singing “Bomb bomb bomb, bomb bomb Iran” to the Beach Boys, but that just might be me.

There is a #3, which is that people reacted to the media reacting to Hillary. Because I caught the coverage of the crying, and then went and watched the clip. Reading the reports basically gave the impression of “Hillary has public breakdown, weeps. Is weak, like little girl”. The actual footage? That showed a politician giving an answer with thought and emotion.

I know why, policy wise, I’d prefer Edwards or Obama to Hillary, and I still had a flash of “screw the media, trying to tell me how to feel about a candidates actions, I’m going to go and vote for Hillary.” then I remembered I’m not a NH resident, or even an american. And that I have policy issues with her. If I’d been vaguely in favour of Clinton, but didn’t care enough to vote? that might have got me out there.

I’m not saying thats where all the support came from, but every little bit helps.
