I’m such a law nerd. I actually laughed (well, more chuckled) out loud at that joke.
Persuasive or no, it might be difficult for y’all to find many places to apply the decision, due to your quaint lack of black sites, extraterritorial rendition, etc.
too bad the administration doesnt feel the same way about those precedents……..
As an Oregonian with family in and a deep fondness for Canada, I have to ask: would Canadians have found it persuasive if SCOTUS had ruled the other way? They came gawd-awfully close to doing so.
