My wife and I saw The Green Mile in the Theater, and the emotions had built up so much up to this point, and the look on John Coffey’s face was so innocent and joyous that we were both bawling like babies during this scene. I remember it very vividly. Sobbing, sniffing, and tears upon tears rolling down our faces.

This man gave us that moment. I can honestly say that I am sad that he has passed and that I will miss him.

Whaaaa?

I was just watching Talladega Nights on tv last night. The very last scene is an outtake where he cracks Will Ferrell up by singing “Last Dance.”

Literally the last thing I was thinking before bed last night was “I wonder why Michael Clarke Duncan doesn’t do more comedies.”

Sad.

Saw it on the news last night. An amazing big man, quite an actor. He’ll be missed.

MCD was the best part of Daredevil, and the best part of the Finder (I know… I know… low benchmark to hit).

But that scene in Green Mile GUTTED me, and it’s all in his face and eyes and his ability to simply shine.

He was a great actor and will be missed.

Whenever a celebrity dies people take to the internet to mourn, and I saw the following comment on one of MGK’s very simple memorial posts: […]
