This is wrapping up too neatly. I’m waiting for the other shoe.
Jandal is really, REALLY good at his job.
I mean, really good.
I would like to brag: totally called it that any potential Gundring/Rashadi (is it the Rashadi Caliphate or the Rashadi Caliphate? I’ve now seen it both ways) alliance would require a royal marriage.
Joro is totally awesome.
Of course, we still have the whole issue of Wulf being on his way here with a giant fucking fleet. And assuming this is where the Caliph goes, Dalakhra can’t be too happy about not getting to marry a Princess.
Something I’ve been wondering: does Jandal have a son? And if not, how is succession handled in al-Rashad? Jandal is clearly a vigorous and engaged ruler, in excellent health, but he’s not a young man anymore. I’m going to assume Rayana isn’t allowed to rule in her own right. Does whoever marries her get to be the next Caliph? Do any children she has get to be in the line, if she bears a son? Does al-Rashad elect a Caliph, similar to how Gundring moots a King?
Inquiring minds want to know!
Edit: and of course, I meant “is it the Rashadi Caliphate or the Rashidi Caliphate.” Because I have seen it both ways.
“Rashadi.” The other was a typo.
I like how out of all my questions, the one that gets an answer is the spelling error. ^.^
