Someone on Twitter was saying “it’s never too late, the lead singer of this band got a law degree and a Master’s in journalism and worked as a journalist and now she’s a singer,” but in fact she is 25 and UK law degrees can be had at the bachelor’s level (e.g. are not advanced degrees) so really all she did was get a Master’s degree and then work a bit before her band took off, so it’s not really a “never too late” situation. But whatever, I love the song, because it is sort of Eighties without being too egregiously Eighties.

Ray Lamontagne didn’t start performing until he was 26 and had worked in a factory his whole life up to that point.

I don’t want to say “never” too late, but come on; something you love, and you can make time to work on it, make that time.
I’m not going to lie, it was pretty jarring for me to see “favourite” spelled without the “U” coming from a Canadian blogger.
It actually goes a bit further than that. If she has a masters in Journalism, odds are she has a coursework rather than thesis based masters, which speaking as someone who has one (I gots me a JD), are not exactly the most onerous things in the world unless you’re going for a fairly competitive MBA programme.
Heard this one a bit too often on Indie88 lately, but I might check out their other stuff.
