This is ridiculously awesome

A quick and dirty ambient music melody generator. (Well, it’s a Flash-app tenori-on, to be specific.)

Seriously, all someone needs to do is hook up a beatbox of some type to this and it is on.

This is really awesome! OMG I just worked out how to make chords lol that took entirely too long. And the bottom few rows can basically function as a drum beat if it’s fast and regular enough. Wow, I love it!

The lower row does work pretty nicely as drums:

…but rhythms are pretty much inevitable because of the short loop you’re working with, even if you’re mostly just messing around with chords or making visual patterns:

It feels like it should be possible to work up a little matchbox-sized version of Cliff Martinez’s Solaris soundtrack out of this thing.
