Were the hordes of dribbling fanboys following Kate Beaton as bad as usual?

Come now. TCAF is inclusionary. There were hordes of dribbling fanboys AND fangirls.

mygif

I thought about going, with it being right up the street and all, but with all the rain decided to stay in and catch up on TV shows.
(I’m now one episode behind on both Lost and Fringe.)

TCAF is your kind of party. It doesn’t get more MGK than that.

Maybe I’ll drop in tomorrow.

Re: Kate Beaton. I’m funny and have a broad knowledge of history. Where are my fanboys?

I didn’t get to meet him in person like you, but Dan Slott answered my Squirrel Girl question today:

Rubbing shoulders with royalty FTW, enjoy.

I wanted to go, but schoolwork (2 big essays) is stopping me.

Plus, you know, the SDCC is in San Diego, which is a pretty big strike against it. And TCAF is in Canada, which is generally ace.

I adore Kate Beaton. Now I REALLY wish I’d been there. I still need to get her book…

What’s so bad about San Diego? And the way I think of it, it’s best to go to the indie con nearest to you. In my case, it’s the MoCCA Artist Festival in New York, which takes place next month.

You’re kidding about Kindt’s requests, right? All I asked from him at Heroes Con was the first Nite Owl, and he did a great job. Maybe it’s because I’m never too demanding with my requests.

mygif

So you went to a con and enjoyed it. Soon we will have you cosplaying as She-Hulk.

BEST COMPLIMENT DINOSAUR COMICS HAS EVER RECEIVED?

And I believe that dance is the Bat-tusi. Adam West was doin’ it on the cover of Mike Allred’s issue of Solo.

San Diego is awesome sauce but I’m partial to ECCC because I get to sleep in my own bed.

If I could have found Kate Beaton, I’d have followed her around drooling too. I will be going back today to give it another shot. (Instead, and just as good, the lad and I spent some time giggling nervously and blushing furiously around David Maliki!)

And Karen, if you post super awesome history comics I will follow you around too, promise.
