Well Lordi, from Finland did win, a few years back. But between Lordi and this band, isn’t any wonder why Finland has some very interesting music coming out of it. Personally, Korpiklaani wins my vote for some of the best drinking songs around.
This is in fact Finnish novelty band: Eläkeläiset – which means “Old Age Pensioners” Their website is: http://www.humppa.com/ – they have had about 12 albums out, and they all sound like this. They do a lot of cover versions, but they change the words, so they are not direct translations. Among their covers are Anarchy in the UK and Breaking the Law, by Judas Priest. The music they play is a kind of faithful parody of Finnish humppa music, which is related to the similar sound in German accordian music. Anyway, they do have DVD, so Charlotte can enjoy a disc of this exact stuff to her heart’s content.

Germany is so fucking hot.
Finland, actually.
You are clearly misinformed.
Germany, Finland, Sweden… it’s all Europe. Tiro-riro-raaaa.
The Bible is one of the most mis-translated documents ever. This is evident in the belief held by many that man proceeded the accordion.
The truth is quite the opposite. God made the accordion and it was good. Then he figured he’d whip up a species to play it.
Is that the Final Countdown?
Now that made me want to start my day … thanks for the energy boost, MGK!
*lmao* The Final Countdown in Finnish!! Love it! 😀
I totally see why these guys won Eurovision this year.

Valuable empirical evidence to support my Theory that people are weird.
Thank you.
Srsly, if I could somehow make an hours-long disk of videos *just like this* I would just play it all the time in my house.
Someone! Quick! Edit Gob in it!
Man with handlebar mustache, playing The Final Countdown on an accordion.
I can’t tell if this is great or not. My mind can not yet grasp this image.
