I don’t even know who this person is (but I do now, thanks to Wikipedia), but he should immediately be given Bill Kristol’s job. It’s not as though accuracy would suffer, and he’d be funnier.
Actually, El Santo really was no kidding involved in Mexican politics (No, he didn’t run for office, but he did fundraising and voter awareness type stuff), so he really WAS more qualified than 90% of the punditry…
Look, if Japanese pro-wrestlers like Imoki, Atsushi Onita and the Great Sasuke can actually win office in Japan, it only makes sense that they rely on La Parka for intel on foreign relations.
Seriously, we need a photoshop pic of La Parka whispering in Obama’s ear with keen political insight (or saying “Woo Woo Woo”).
I used to watch WCW and I remember La Parka, truly a king among jobbers. I laughed at this, but now that you’ve made another “Bad Comedy” post I have the chance to ask something I’ve been wondering for the last few days: was that tag inspired at all by “Transformers: The Movie”?
Starscream: Who disrupts my coronation?
Galvatron: Coronation, Starscream? This is bad comedy.
Incidentally, I was scrolling down your blog while listening to “Blister In The Sun” and came across the gif above. The combination of the two is . . . strangely hypnotic.
[…] So today Wikipedia and Reddit and WordPress and a bunch of other sites have all “gone dark” for 24 hours to protest SOPA. They’re right to do so and if you’re one of my American readers, you should make sure you voice your opposition to the bill. Not least because it would be exceptionally easy for me to get SOPA-blacklisted. After all, I am foreign (from an American perspective), and I make use of an exceptional amount of copyrighted material.1 That it might be fair use is besides the point: SOPA does not discriminate. Why, I could be SOPA-blacklisted just for embedding this awesome tribute video to La Parka, who as we all know is the greatest wrestler of all time (as well as a brilliant political pundit). […]

Ok this needs to be a regular weekly feature simply because it involves La Parka!
JJL, I would like to second that.
Huh. I was sure you were aiming this at Joe the Idiot Plumber
And that is why that man is the *chair*man of WCW.

Would have been funnier with El Santo.
What in the world is a La Parka? Is this a Canadian thing? *squints suspiciously*
A… a “Canadianthing”? La Parka?
*faints*
I gotta realize that not everyone on the internet posts on DVDVR…
I want a new version of Crossfire, one side Jesse Ventura, the other La Parka!

Needs more Rey Msyterio.
Er, Mysterio. Stupid keyboard.
drmedula: Plus he fought those lady vampires. How many other pundits can say that?
This = win.

Well, I think we all know what has to happen here: La Parka must challenge Bill Kristol to a Lumberjack match on Pay Per View.
Flapjacks Fears La Parka
Well, I’m not sure if he counts as a pundit, but I heard Geraldo spent a big chunk of the 1970’s fighting a lesbian vampire cult…
What font was used there?
Finally, a political pundit I can relate to. Either you agree with the chair or he hits you with it.
I almost agree with Video Beagle, however I would rather see a Crossfire with La Parka and the Masturbating Bear from Conan O’Brien.

@Sage
Which Mysterio? If you mean the elder, who was in a truly horrible movie called Wrestlemaniac (yes, really) then you have my vote.
