Sure there may be less women in “the workplace”, but if all white people in the USA quit their jobs tomorrow, would that suddenly make black people a majority?
But according to wikipedia, the two of them work pretty closely and co-write a lot of Chris Rock’s films, so it makes sense that there’d be cross-pollination.

Chris Rock’s version was a lot better, and like, eight years ago.
Wow, you mean two people made a funny on the same subject in the space of eight years? That’s hard to believe.
“I’m going to ride this white thing out, see where it takes me.”
It’s not the subject, it’s the bit. I like where Louis went with it too — but it’s really the same joke, for the first half, nearly word for word.
