Clearly, John Seavey’s list was flawed, since MGK was not on there at all. 🙂

Wow. Twice in one day. First I hear about Colbert giving a shout out to bronies, now MGK too. This is so weird and awesome!

Baited breath. I consider your Doctor Strange stuff inspired and enjoy the rest of your work, but I’ve been waiting with baited breath for Doom’s mystic Pony quest to continue.

Latveria dominates in Friendship’s Magic as it does in all things.

Dear Princess Celestia,

Sometimes even the smartest pony can get so caught up in competition that they lose sight of the most important thing of all: Friendship. But sometimes that drive to compete with the very best can help strengthen a Friendship, as my friend VON DOOM learned today when he helped an old nemesis to learn the value of trust and co-operation. I’m sure everypony who’s learned to work together can agree: wether it’s helping stave off Armageddon or helping being in the Apple crop, with Friendhsip and co-operation, you can do anything!

Your faithfully student,

Benjamin Grimm

I dunno….if the Council of Reeds were aware of power the Ponies hold could they have really been defeated by the Celestials?

Because the Celestials are the true power behind them. Think about it: a world diverse with quirky/super-powered beings, a mythical battle between good and not so good. A seemingly magical race, each with an inherent gift used to make the world a better place. The ponies are the Eternals of Equistria. Friendship is indistinguishable from crazy giant space god technology.

Sooooo… now that MLP is primarily the domain of some of the internet’s creepiest, most obsessive nerds, maybe you should just let this one go. It was a good run, but… it might be best if you know that MLP is dead now. It’s not the joke you used to know. I’m sorry. I’m so sorry.

Maybe he’s been eating worms, highlyverbal. Or rotten chicken liver–I hear that works great on catfish.

I live in Missouri. If I don’t eat chicken liver at least once a month, I’m forced to move over the border.

Doom talks, and he talks. But he does not show us the mystic paths of bronydom. I defy him and his foolish interpretations of Friendship!

See, what’s funny is that if you replace “MLP” with anything else that has even a tangential amount of geek cachet it works JUST AS WELL.

^What’s just as funny (maybe funnier) is when self-hating nerds try to distance themselves and point fingers to shift negative attention to those who are “worse” than them.

Never let the creeps get you down. MLP:FIM is quality entertainment for children and nerds alike, no matter how many 4channers want to have sex with Rainbowdash.

Still, if such people ever made such comments in the Marvel universe, the vengeance of Doom would fall swiftly upon them.

It’s sort of interesting to see a Doom MLP joke popping up again now that the new show’s about and building popularity. Wasn’t the MLP property still dormant when MGK started these things.

Also, good to see the term Brony worked in.

With the advent of the new show and resulting internet popularity I was hoping Doom would return to teach us the ways of true power.

Haters gonna hate as they say, but don’t let them get you down. Now if you’ll excuse me I have to get back to my MLP;FIM/Rex the MF Wonder Dog crossover fanfic.

I have to admit, with the phenomenon that is MLP:FiM and the rise of the Brony culture, this joke actually seems less funny. Not because the internet’s “creepiest, most obsessive nerds” have gotten their hands on it (which seems a stupid complaint given that the core material – comics – has been a focus for obsessive nerds for years) but because originally I found it funny from the absurdity of DOOM being obsessed with MLP. Now that it feels like half the internet (myself included) is obsessed with ponies, it doesn’t seem as absurd any more.

Eh, I respectfully disagree, it’s still funny. It’s just that we now know that Doom was ahead of the curve, knowing the true power of pony before anyone else suspected. I would expect nothing less from him really…

Thus we see the true brilliance of DOOM, a visionary perpetually ahead of his time.
