Yes, it was a dinosaur that couldn’t survive the changes of the 21st century. But it had character.

Sam’s main store on Yonge was indeed iconic.
I agree about its character, Miles.

I miss being able to physically browse through stock to see if I can find something interesting.

Not that you still can’t do it, but Sam’s was particularly good because you had such a good chance of finding interesting stuff you might not see or find elsewhere.

I miss the main store too. Really had a lot of character to it. Anytime going through Toronto, I’d stop there and come away with a CD or three.
