Speaking of Deadpool, any thoughts on the current Posehn/Duggan series? I dropped it after like 5 issues, and I had a nearly complete run of Deadpool comics up to that point.

What comics do you think are worth picking up? (I ask this in part because I loved the TV version of Batman Beyond and I’m curious about the new Batgirl Beyond but I haven’t been reading BB Unlimited.)

I like Canadian politics posts. It’s nice to see that our neighbors to the north have at least some crazy in their national character.

Also, anything in the vein of the Conversations posts (http://mightygodking.com/category/bad-comedy/conversations/). Any chance of more stuido execs (maybe a television edition)?

Holy crap I was actually hoping for one of these recently!

Your Dr. Strange series has been amazing. Any chance you’ll do (or even a few one-shots) of “I Should Write Superman”? Or what you would do if you had a year’s run of Action/Superman/some other similar book?

And full agreement on the overuse of Deadpool, I want your take on that one.

I think MGK has already written what he’d do with Superman, but there are so many references to the character on this site that google’s been useless. If I recall correctly, it was “solves his universe’s problems, goes off to save all of them, meets a new Lois who had a year of comics before that.”

Unless that was Chris Sims or someone.

Several questions:
1) Should Star Trek come back with a TV series, and if so what should be the setup? Place it within the Abramsverse or the original universe?
2) Is a Wonder Woman movie ever doable? Hollywood just can’t seem to figure it out…
3) Peanut butter: Crunchy or Creamy?

Moving away from Alignment Charts, a more lengthy Who’s Who than the last one. How about the Question, since Trinity War seems determined to repeat the Grundy incident to a factor of 90?

Second the “Are you reading/interested in Adventures of Superman at all?” question. Bar the OSC incident, it’s head and shoulders above any New 52 Superman book.

I was a big fan of Strikeforce Morituri back in the day which wasn’t technically part of Marvel’s ‘New Universe’, but which was part of Marvel branching out in new directions.

I thought the premise was pretty cool, and I missed it when it was gone. Especially since my series was ‘borrowed’ by a friend in college and never returned.

I’ve always wished the series came back (there was no Electric Undertow), and there have always been workings in the background to bring it the either small or large screen that have come to nothing.

My question: Did you ever read S:M? If so what were your thoughts on it?

Additionally, do you think that 10 years from now DC / Marvel will still be basically chewing over variants of the same current characters, occasionally shuffling the cards together and dealing out new teams?

ReplyReply
mygif

Why is DC “reinventing” the Question and the Creeper as virtually unrecognizable from their previous versions? What do they have to gain? Are fans of those characters happy to see them as an immortal seeker of whatever or a demon who lives in a sword, respectively?

Follow-up question: DC goes through periods of Kirby worship, but never seems to appreciate Ditko’s characters as much. Why?

No, everyone hated him, even in the 70s. It’s part of what made the reveal in the Scooby Movie so awesome.

Also: DAMMIT, MGK! I actually had a “I wish MGK would do another open house so he could answer this random question that just occurred to me” moment a couple weeks ago, and now of course I can only remember it happened, not what the damn question was.

I’d like to second a few things:

Your essays on Superman and Lex Luthor are great and I’d love to see one about Spider-Man since i find myself thinking about the character a lot lately. Do you think the character still feels vital or has he stagnated?

Your thoughts on Superior Spider-Man would be nice. Personally I find the whole premise too creepy and violation-y to get into, but maybe you could sell me on it, or back up my prejudices.

Steranko on Twitter, what do you think?

And for something of my own, what are your thoughts n Agents of SHIELD? Does it sound interesting/good to you? Do you think the whole shadowy but benevolent government organization thing looks a lot worse in light of recent events re: the NSA aand Prism? I’ve recently been reevaluating the Marvel movie universe and your insight would be helpful in figuring this whole thing out.
