I went with this. Difficult role to play, because you’ve got to be subtle enough to enable people to believe either possibility. But he pulled it off with aplomb.

The moment I realized Hoffman was a great actor was the scene where he threatens Tom Cruise during the M:I 3 trailer. Bastard actually got me thinking “Hey, maybe this film won’t suck the way the first two did!”
