In retrospect, it was kind of obvious that Dalakhra would be undead/super difficult to kill, and yet, I still did not see this Chekhov’s Gun coming.

Re: above comments: As stated, it’s a flintlock pistol, and therefore only one shot every minute or so at best, and I’d be very surprised if Kahal has another one, as this is clearly the one Alric was carrying but didn’t fire.
I rather doubt there was an off-screen scene where Kahal went up to Alric and basically said: “Hey, can I borrow your pistols and have you reload the one you already fired?” for numerous reasons including: lack of time, firearms/gunpowder clearly being a Gundring exclusive and highly protected technology, adn most especially, it would be lazy/bad writing, and MGK is far better than that.
He’s one of those “undying” guys oh shit!
