Jughead’s hat. Calls to mind classic comics, photoshop remixes, and the whole ‘crown’ implication ties into the whole ‘king’ thing.

I can’t make out what is up there now–is that the Hulk? Or is it Shrek? Or what?

awa64 has a good suggestion with that Jughead hat thing. Or? Maybe a twelve-sided die.

Brainiac 5.. so THAT’S what that is. I thought it was an artichoke with eyeballs or something.

I recognized it as Brainiac V when I first saw it. But then again, I’m dangerously nerdy when it comes to this site, and none of the alternatives made sense.

Anybody who submits something that isn’t Brainiac V or Rex the Wonder Dog should automatically lose. (Maybe another Legion of Superheroes character, but that’s pushing it. Polar Boy is right out.)

It is MGK in a tiny little Canadian flag, because no matter what else you do online, as soon as you reveal you are a Canadian it becomes the only defining characteristic you are allowed to be known for.

Braniac 5! I was wondering about that.

Is that not a prize worth more than gold?

Maybe. Can I have the gold instead and let someone else take first prize?

Made an imageshack account just for this. I think Chameleon Boy is more easily recognizable in 16×16 px form.

Also, Brainy? I thought it was a green-skinned crowned photo of you!

The first thing I came up with was the idea of a crossover event – Brainiac 5 vs Harry Potter.

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c154/Daizan/HarryPotter5.jpg

Then I considered the idea considered the idea of a 16×16 image and thought, why bother trying to make it visible. Why not something esoteric, yet epic. So I came up with the stand off scene from Civil War.

But that didn’t really have any of MGK’s influence in it, so I thought for a few more minutes and came up with one of the few pieces of MGK brilliance from his LJ days that never made the crossover to his new site. I am of course speaking of the American Epic: Captain America tells Miss Floyd to STFU!

My eyeballs are too big to take in these tiny images.

Definitely one of the better Rex artists from Superboy and the Ravers. It is very, very hard to find a good profile shot of Rex in modern comics. Comic artists simply don’t draw animals very often.

As opposed to Rob Liefeld, who doesn’t draw humans very often.

Ummmmm….. how has no one thought up the confederate flag? It’s clearly the only acceptable choice.

And we have a winner! Rex the Motherfucking Wonder Dog!

Hmmm. As an aside, I almost spelt that ‘Wunder Dog’, and since Rex IS a German name, think of the horror of What If?: Rex die Mutterverdammte Wunder Hund! Nazi canine, scourge of the Allied forces….
