So what you’re trying to say here is that she didn’t die in, like, 1985 or something?

How many other really old people are there out there who I just assumed were dead already? Are you going to tell me Bob Hope is still around? Jerry Lewis? Dean Martin? Newt Gingrich?

Oh, this is a shame. I’ll admit that I didn’t know that she was still alive…just kind of figured that she had drifted off into a retirement and passed years ago. It doesn’t change the fact that she was a remarkable lady, and that Bed-Stuy has lost one of its great exports.

Also, jokingly: Watch that eye-line, Kermit.
