I really kind of suspect that the studios have no idea what they’ve gotten into, period.
Another great example. The Studio I Work For (afterwards known as SIWF or UCS or even SIWFUCS) is currently in the middle of a big ‘green living’ push. Solar panels, replanting trees, recycling, basically all the ‘save the planet’ stuff that doesn’t actually do a damn bit of good, but looks really good on paper.
This SIWFUCS green push is costing upwards of one billion (with a b, kids) to implement. I really think the only green here is the color of the money they’re wasting.
And not paying their writers with.
How could they know? They don’t even know what the internet IS!
