Why DC doesn’t reprint this comic, I will honestly never know. It is a dog who is bullfighting. And as issues of Rex The Wonder Dog go, this is comparatively tame.
YOU HEAR THAT, DC? GIVE US REX THE FREAKING WONDER DOG!

Holy crap that’s awesome.
Makes you wonder why he didn’t make it into 52….

Isn’t Rex part of Shadowpact?
I would buy a showcase of rex the wonder dog the moment i could. Seriously, it’s everything that a comic should have.
To LurkerWithout:
Rex is loosely affiliated with Shadowpact due to his connections with Detective Chimp, but he’s not an official member. He has helped them out a few times, but wasn’t with them when they encountered Ralph Dibny in 52.

I’ve actually thought about how I would do a run of a Rex mini of some sort. Before the Shadowpact, Detective Chimp and Rex were said to be working in the “bureau of amplified animals”. That’s vague enough to be anything. And Chimp has said before that he’s denied basic human rights. What if the government wanted to use them in a project of some kind? What could stop them, besides the animals themselves?
No no no. You can’t have FUN at DC!
There are no smiles or laughs or delightful comics at DC! That sort of thing is bloody stupid! Comics need to be taken seriously! It’s a serious business! No more Marvel Family, Plastic man gets possessed by Eclipso, Captain Carrot’s universe is destroyed, Stanley and his Demon have a tragic backstory, Martian Manhunter gets a costume that no longer makes him look gay but instead makes him look like he is in heavy denial.
I imagine they wring their hands at night trying to figure out how to make Aquaman a gun toting bad-ass secret agent for Suicide Squad.
I think DC should stop writing ZOMG SERIOUSLY THE MOST CRISISY CRISIS EVER EVER EVER IN THE HISTORY OF DC, AT LEAST UNTIL NEXT WEEK!!!!1111!!!!! for awhile and concentrate instead on some good old-fashioned silliness and sheer awesomeness… like Rex the Wonder Dog. He needs a continuing monthly to himself. I squeal with delight every time he pops up in the Shadowpact series. DC just needs to regain at least a little of a sense of cheer and silliness and Other Generally Good Things, and stop being so serious and grumpy, like the little kid in his dad’s shoes and nice sportcoat. “LOOK LOOK, I’M GROWN UP, I’M A BIG BOY, LOOK!” is kind of what a lot of comics say these days.

I’ve been meaning to ask ever since I discovered this site, why is Rex considered such a memetic badass again? I mean, is it genuine praise or satire just for the heck of it?
