I’ve been trying to avoid getting sucked into Fallout 3 while I have schoolwork to do (yes, even during the strike). But now it appears that Bethesda Softworks is, through some invisible manipulation of the world I do not quite understand, trying to turn our world into the Fallout world.

I don’t know if I should be excited or deathly afraid.
I just realised this could be the work of Black Isle. They still have the rights to a Fallout MMO. Maybe it’ll be an MMO + ARG.
Only mandatory.
Their tamper proof nature makes it seem like these might be really hard to run maintenance on, if something did go wrong…
Also, this is the necessary first step to atomic powered cars and jetpacks. THE PROMISED FUTURE IS NIGH UPON US!
not gonna lie, Fallout 3 is Distopian crack cocaine.
Not sure where this is where I’m supposed to say that I’m thankful I have a Mac or that I don’t have a PC.
…Oh, fuck it, I wish I had a PC.
Are law students on strike?
Fallout 3 is a great game, content-wise. There are a few bugs (if you opt to try to protect “Big Town” from the super mutants, don’t choose “fix their robots,” because they’re missing), but the biggest “boo-hiss” I have is the fact that your leveling maxes at 20. There are hacks to work around that, and Bethesda is talking downloadable content/expansions, but it still stinks.
And the NPCs your recruit really need a “shut the hell up” setting.
No, the teaching assistants and contract faculty are. Which shuts the entire school down. I am displeased, and that comes from a distinctly pro-labour sort.
I’m a member of CUPE 3903. We aren’t too happy either, trust me. It’s a messy situation all round.
This is really cool. I’m guessing that these are the types of reactors that exist in the basements of Physics labs of every university in the world.
As far as the CUPE strike goes, I’m acting like a testicle: Technically I’m involved, but mostly I just stay out of the way.
Hmmm
I wonder what happens if they are installed in earthquake prone areas?
Not to sound like somekind of Bethesda stock-holder or something but: Prepare for the Future!
Just a niggling question, but those student who have paid their tuition/took loans, etc…. Will they be reimbursed for services not received due to this strike?
I kind of like Fallout 3, but I’m not much for shades of grey, if you knowwhumsayin. The whole damn thing is one color.
However, I like the story. It piques my curiosity.
I really shouldn’t comment until I get to D.C., though.
You know, I heard about this on Coast2coast the other night, and the first thing that I thought?
Woo!, a reactor small enough to power a Gundam!
