“Even as the two plunge downwards, the Wonder Dog does not forget his firedog training…”

That’s part of DCU firedog training?

Wow. Suck it, Cesar Millan.

Was that the fire Rex was covering earlier as a photojournalist? Then I take back my earlier condemnation of what looked to be then his unwillingness to use his powers to assist fighting it. I apologize, Rex! I swear I do!

I’m amused by the calm expression as Rex walks on something “Broiling — as the sun”. Most people or even super animals would be somewhat panicked and try to avoid cooking their own flesh.

Come to think of it he is also strangley analytical about it. I’m sure my internal monologue would be something like “Ow! SH*&!”

So take notes kids, the sun is set to BROIL, not BAKE and definitely not burn

Dear Dan, your mistakes were numerous…
“Other super animals” there are no super animals only Rex the Wonder Dog, and animals who have breathed the same air as him (and are therefore superior to any other non-Rex-the-Wonderdog meeting animals).
“Somewhat panicked” Rex felt no fear walking something as hot as the surface of the sun, the sun is panicked Rex will come back and step on his face again

Okay, Al, now you have me wanting to see a showdown between Rex the Motherfucking Wonderdog vs Chuck Norris….

When cats fall, they land on their feet.

When Rex the Wonder Dog falls, he lands wherever the fuck he wants.

Firedog training clearly includes rotating unconscious women about their center of gravity with an assist from increasing the drag on your own body- and then shifting the Earth underneath you.

This is the first and only story where Rex gets hurt enough to bandage up his paw.

Also, reading “our fighting forces” looking for stories with Pooch really helps you appreciate the great work Alex Toth does on Rex.

Chuck Norris would get his ass kicked by Rex, Mad Scientist.
