Well, at least Mel Lastman will finally get that reputation as a mellow, union-friendly policy-focused consensus builder that he always wanted.
Shut up. Relative reputation is a kind of reputation.
The sad thing is, MGK really isn’t overstating it. Ford is a joke, and if we thought Lastman made the city look bad, we ain’t seen nothing yet.
Don’t Torontonians remember that we already experimented with having a clown for mayor? Have we forgotten how horribly that turned out?
I’m curious, how much influence does a city mayor have on immigration? Cities don’t have closed borders, is it really up to the mayor whether the Tamils come in or not?
The initial comments on the torontoist piece are like performance art.
Ah, Rob Ford. He’s exactly the kind of politician whose antics I love to watch…in American politics.
