Hitman is still one of the best things Garth Ennis has ever done, right up there with Preacher and Punisher: Max (the five-year essay on Why Being Frank Castle Sucks, not the black comedy version). And this arc was one of my favourite parts.

Ringo Chen’s death* was absolutely fantastic.

Speak it, Will. Hitman is just an amazing series, fantastic balance of comedy and drama, and as a peripheral DC Universe title, the exact perfect amount of connection to the bigger world.

And I still maintain that Of Thee I Sing is the best Superman story ever written.

An excellent moment in an excellent series. I still want, someday when I am very very very rich, the original art of Tommy Monaghan’s “response” to the death of Noonan. (The double-page splash of him at the wedding, standing there lighting up a ciagrette in the midst of a pile of corpses.)

Hitman remains one of my top five comic series ever, great characters, action, humor, and an abundance of “Fuck Yeah!” moments.

Can we get another ‘where’s the fucking Hitman Omnibus DC’ post all up here?

Hitman could supply a whole month’s worth of these posts. I still contend that Hitman 34 is one of the best Superman comics ever written.

Just found my old paperbacks while moving house and desperately want to find the un-collected issues! Could anyone in the uk (London if possible) tell me where I could get hold of any?
