Nerds have always been bad at personal hygiene, it seems.

Is there anything Scrooge can’t buy?

I believe the Venus Rocket is actually a marital aid.

The rocket to take you to Venus is the easy part. The lander that will keep you from being simultaneously smashed like a bug and deep fat fried? That’s … a toughie.

The real problem is inconsistancy of character writing. This whole storyline was based on Scrooge McDuck claiming he could do the post office’s job better than they could… and then some screwball posted a letter to Venus.

Instead of just saying ‘I meant I could deliver letters anywhere on EARTH’, he decides to go to Venus.

I’m assuming the Brain Dep’t are all characitures (sp?) of the writing/artistic/editorial staff?

I love me those ‘F**k Yeah’ moments in Uncle Scrooge.

This is perfectly consistent characterization for Scrooge. He’s consistently epic. (and secretly, deep down inside he loves the adventure, that’s why he didn’t just say “anywhere on earth”)

I’m pretty sure the scientists’ replies in the next panel are, without moving from their posture “Of course Mr. McDuck.” “Would you like it for tomorrow afternoon or this evening?”

…it is good to be rich indeed.
