That’s really nifty. I saw a lot of little restaurants, shops and vending machines in still-operating shrines in Japan. Different ideas of sacred spaces, one supposes. I’m glad such beautiful architecture is being preserved.
Oh my word…. a good use for a church. That’s magnificent.
Putting a library in a church is like putting a swimming museum out in the middle of the desert.
Dutch architects must be the world’s laziest architects. “Look, we just plopped some really drab metal shelving units in the middle of the church! Give us an award! We did not even try! Gorgeous lighting plan? We call it ‘lightbulbs’!”
