Why in the hell are the Legion of Super-Heroes playing Dungeons & Dragons? Were they killing time before a Monty Python marathon?
I dedicated my life; I learned all the rules for 86th edition; bought all the suppliments and got all the minis.
And now there is a new edition?

What issue is this in? Who wrote this? How have I not heard of this before now?
Two Legionnaires play D&D and end up getting crucified? That’s so strangely weird that I can’t believe this is the first time I’ve heard of it. I’ve got to find this issue.
The scene is from LSH Annual #1, published in 1984 or 85 or thereabouts. Computo awakens for the first time in many years and takes over every computer system in Legion HQ, including the game room. Levitz and Giffen crafted it, and I remember it feeling really tense and scary for the time.

All joking aside, why is Brainy not the DM? My memory is a little hazy, but I’m pretty sure that’s why they picked him over Supergirl. (Kara had volunteered to teach them Exalted, so of course she was laughed out of the tryouts.)

To be a proper Chick Tract, mustn’t it have someone laughing evily, “Haw, haw”? I assume that that happens in a later panel, when the ringleader of the D&D cult is revealed to be a druid. Or Satan.

If they had repented and taken Rex as their savior, Would Lightning Lad and Star Boy *be* in this mess?
Some people will mock Jack chick for suggesting that D&D is Satanic.
But remember, Jack Chick is an expert on Satanism, having been briefed on it by “the ex-Grand Druid of a Satanist coven” — which is sort of like saying you know all about Hinduism, having heard about from the former rabbi of a Hindu mosque.

As I recall, there’s at least one more issue that has them playing D&D, to the point that one of the letters complained that all Star Boy did lately was play D&D.
If it wasn’t for a random meeting with a former rabbi from a Hindu mosque, I’d have never converted to Orthodox Buddhistic Catholicism (with a minor in hedonism).
Why oh why is the entire 80s run of the Legion not in print? Does DC hate us?
