That’s not even a complimentary picture of them. They all look like their bugging out, like the shit just hit the fan and they just realized their fighting the Flash and single thought running through all their heads is, “I didn’t become a Notary Public for THIS SHIT?”

Venture Brothers was right. At some point, a man just has to learn how to hench for himself.

And this is fine, although they never really explain why the guys in AIM dress up like evil beekeepers.

The 2009 Marvel Crossover will be AIM’s army of unstoppable EVIL BEES!

You heard it here first!

Ha! Fantastic. I often use this kind of thing to describe my place in one of those rainbow coilition gangs that you see on teevee. Like Ramathorn in Super Troopers, nobody is quite sure where my swarthy self is from.

Before today, I had never heard of “Bob, Agent of HYDRA.” Now I have, and my life is that much awesomer. Thank you, Mightygodking!

I want to see them turn up in Manhunter. Just for the scenes with Director Bones.

I say you should shave about ten percent off of this entry and give it to the Unimaginable. Because come on, even by pathetic DC villain standards, these guys are pathetic DC villains. Their acronym doesn’t even stand for anything! They couldn’t even take five minutes to say, “Oh, and it means Sinister Killers Under Lethal Leaders,” or something. Jeez.

Bob, MGK? Why not Karl? He comes from a much more respectable evil organization with an actual Super villain at the helm.

I mean, you can’t even get into AIM without being a genius. Plus, nifty hightech bee keeper suits protect you from all the gamma radiation, cosmic rays, and other Applied Phlebotinum radiating around the MU.

Didn’t Karl get kicked out of AIM? Wasn’t he, I don’t know, blamed for something?

You know what I’d like to see as a comic series? A title completely devoted to a singular shadow organization that acts as a recruitment agency for all these various shadow groups.

I’m going to make the argument that the original Atomic Skull is indeed second-rate. However, the name is brilliant, and a great villain could be made from the premise.

The skulls could be for pirates! Or that stupid movie about an Illuminati-like organization.

What’s with the guy on the left?

Righty looks like he’s charging off to his death.

Front and Center seems rather disgusted as he fires both of his lazers at once.

But Lefty? “Aww, come one guys. I don’t need this…” He only has one Lazer too. What, did they run out?

I always really liked the HIVE academy concept in the Teen Titans cartoon, and then when I was thinking about a Marvel/DC crossover continuity (as you do) the words “Hydra Institute for Villainous Excellence” just fell out of it. Now I can’t see the word without thinking of that acronym.

Couldn’t you show the pictures a bit more magnified? I coulnd’t read the text on it, I must admit.

Oh man, screw this. Kobra is awesome. Superfanatical terrorist cult with ties in magic and genetic engineering and sleeper/active agents all over the world. I dare you to read the last arc of Checkmate and tell me that Kobra doesn’t kick any given Marvel Crime Conspiracy’s ass.

Also: awesome post.

Do you think Skull needs a member known as “Brain”?
