All Up In Your Internets (Again)

My fiancee (who actually works for NBC) made me watch Baby Borrowers last week. It’s a little surprising that all the guys just kind of shrug their shoulders and try to make the best of it and all the girls just totally flip out over absolutely nothing or act like total sociopaths and simply toss the baby in a corner and ignore it for the rest of the day. Seriously, this one girl got all pissy and refused to even look at the baby for the rest of the episode because when she didn’t feed the baby for MORE THAN 24 HOURS, the baby’s real mom came in and called her on it.

Mostly the show is shit though. The teenagers (who are all 18 or 19, not exactly kids) only have a screaming infant for about three days. Almost anyone can put up with a little discomfort for a weekend. The real breaking point for new parents is when their kid has been screaming every night until four in the morning every single day for the past month, and there’s no end in sight.

Ah MGK, I am sorry, but “Bart of War” completely failed to make me laugh in the way good Simpsons episodes do…with just one exception. When everybody charges the field and gets in random fights and Moe ends up dismayed to find himself facing Drederick Tatum. That got a chuckle out of me.

Flanders saying that he liked the Beatles because they were bigger than Jesus almost got me to laugh, but not quite.

The rest of the episode just made me go “meh.”
