You know, there’s no shame in sneaking around when you have cold, hard cash in your pocket and you’ve killed the original owner.

This is the kind of woman I usually fall for.

Think of how her life might have changed if only that drawer had held a chemistry set, or some construction tools. She could have gone on to become a constructive member of society, but no the careless misplacement of random tommy guns claims another victim.

I really hope there are more panels of this, and that they didn’t actually say “Her luck had run out” after 4 panels. Still hilarious.

After reading that, I want Gail Simone to bring her back and use her in Secret Six.

Bring her back.
Geoff Johns can do it.
Geoff Johns can do anything!
He’s dreamy!

She didn’t even hit Pete, though. Is there another unseen Pete that eats it off-panel?

Since when do machine guns shoot laser beams?

Didn’t you notice? All the guns shoot laser beams.

This story must take place in the future.

Which, as that one story with Hitler showed us, is pretty much the past, but with lasers.

Pete wasn’t so good at watching it, I guess.

Pete, since “Evolution of the Daleks.” I blame the Cult of Skaro.

err…when I say “Pete” I clearly mean “Dave.”

If she’d gone on to become a major character, just imagine her inevitable horrible 90s re-imagining, with one arm itself being a stupidly humumgous machine gun, tons of pouches, some ludicrous head-frame thing holding a stupid mullet/mohawk combo hairdo, impossibly proportioned breasts and hips, and a waist that makes the presence of a digestive system impossible.
Or don’t.

I have been wanting to see that film for quite a while now. I wonder if I can get it at Blockbuster.

The trailer for it just looks awesome (terrible, but awesome):

That movie’s awesome in every way. I just about died laughing. And if you play the drinking game where you take a slug every time there’s a fountain of blood, you will win the war on your liver.

The followup movie “Tokyo Gore Police” makes “The Machine Girl” look like a Jane Austen adaptation. How convenient both are out on R1 DVD.

Ah, “Machine Girl,” what a horribly wonderful movie you were.

I didn’t get the immediate connection to this comic, since the enemies are cops, not hockey padded parents or yakuza.

May we, by any chance, get a cite for Machine-Gun Maggie? I’m not seeing a title or issue number (not discounting the possibility that I’m clueless).

Given her blondness and love of stilettos, I’m thinking Gwyneth Paltrow for the movie. Am I right, Junior Executive Three?

Justice #9, Timely Comics, 1949.
