I am going to watch every hour of the royal wedding simply so that I can get to the end and shout “The Aristocrats!”

BBC America has gone completely insane with its wedding coverage. I’m just glad that it will mostly be over by Friday so that it can’t disrupt Doctor Who.

Well, damn. That wedding dress made out of live honey badgers I was fixing to wear doesn’t seem quite so fashion-forward now.

I’m a royalist (an Irish Catholic one; I’m sure a few dead relatives in the home country are rolling over in their graves at that one); I like the history of it. Not remotely invested in the wedding, though.

I will disagree with you that Will and Kate will not likely survive their marriage. They have something his relatives don’t going in – they really do love each other and you can’t say that about most royal marriages.

Like many Canadians, one of the few things that to me seem less worth making an effort over than the monarchy is the cause of republicanism.
