As fun and as faithful as Seth McFarlane can be in mocking Star Wars, it’s not anywhere near as fun as the Robot Chicken specials. Sure, casting Carrie Fisher as the only other woman in the galaxy was inspired, and I liked the mocking of Seth Green through Luke (“I wonder what his fans would think if they knew just how Jewish he really is”), but it kinda pales to Boba Fett blasting into the sky, shouting, “Back from the dead, assholes!!” And the scene with Luke and the one-armed snow monster at the gas station is probably the darkest sketch in the show’s history (yes, even darker than the tooth fairy bit from the first season).

“And if you’re one of those people who sighs that football isn’t football and that soccer is football, look down. Are you currently standing in North America? Then suck it up, because here, football is football and soccer is soccer, and that’s just how it is, okay?”

Game, set, and match, sir. Bravo!(is how that was supposed to read.)

Football is really soccer! Or something.

Also:

“Lacrosse is Canada’s true national sport.”

“The clock doesn’t matter in baseball. Time stands still or moves backwards.”

“Rugby is a game for barbarians played by gentlemen. Football is a game for gentlemen played by barbarians.”

Am I insufferable yet?
