Further proof that Chris Hastings needs a TV production deal.

Pedant’s note: Primeval isn’t a BBC show. It’s from ITV, and was sort of conceived of as an anti-Doctor Who ratings attempt. At which it, er, admirably, unsurprisingly failed. Partially because ITV aren’t really good at TV. Despite being the UK’s biggest commercial broadcaster didn’t really make anything which was a ratings or critical success between X-Factor (’04) and Downton Abbey (’10).

Wait wait wait, so we should ignore Rocky 4 and go ahead with Rocky 5? Surely you jest sir, Rocky 4 is a glorious slice of 80s melodramatic cheese. Plus it has James Brown.

Incidentally, I don’t see how badly America could have ruined Coupling when it was pretty shit to begin with (at least by what I’ve seen).

So am I to understand that you LIKE “Primeval?”

I watched the first season and I think 1/2 to 2/3 of the second. Did it get better, or is it just something that appeals to you? I couldn’t get past the fact that this operation was being run by a bunch of bumbling fashionistas or refugees from a canceled UK version of CSI. The effects were craptastic, the plots were paper thin, and they used the Wilhelm Scream in just about every season 1 episode, which wears thin even for a geek-joke.

Poker on ESPN isn’t as weird as Magic: The Gathering on ESPN2. Hearing “Unless he draws a mountain he can’t cast Hammer of Bogarden!” on a sports channel is unsettling.
