This chart already got an automatic win from me for Walken in general, but it gets a double extra win for your including him as Hickey in “Last Man Standing.”
(“You wouldn’t shoot an unarmed man in the back, would you?”)
This is fantastic but I am shocked and scandalized by the lack of his incomparable performance as the Archangel Gabriel.
“I’m an angel. I kill firstborns while their mamas watch. I turn cities into salt. I even, when I feel like it, rip the souls from little girls, and from now till kingdom come, the only thing you can count on in your existence is never understanding why.”
Ironically that’s exactly why I asked. Because I started to slide towards Walken as being LE and then thought about Leary’s character.. and then started to wonder about a Leary alignment chart (but you’d need Chaotic Horny for Tommy Gavin on Rescue Me).
I’m seriously disappointed in myself. I only recognize two-thirds of them. (Though I can make a fair guess on Lawful Good. Still stuck on Lawful Evil and Chaotic Evil, though.)
LG: Hairspray
NG: The Dead Zone
CG: Catch Me If You Can (I think)
LN: Pulp Fiction
TN: Sleepy Hollow
CN: The Deer Hunter
LE: Last Man Standing
NE: Batman Returns
CE: Nick of Time
The Headless Horseman is true neutral, because he obeys whoever has his head. (Though he definitely seems to want to do evil stuff if given the slightest opportunity. And it’s hard to imagine a good guy making use of him. So I would have bought Lawful Evil.)
The Headless Horseman was definitely some kind of evil before he died, when he was a brutal and feared mercenary and filed his teeth to points to be even more feared. I guess you could make the argument that he’s TN after death because he just serves whoever has his head, but (a) “serving” means “terrorizing and killing their enemies”, and that fits Lawful Evil at least as well, and (b) it just plain seems weird to suggest that someone could move up the alignment chart by becoming undead.

I’m glad to see that someone besides me liked ‘Hairspray’. It was a very well-made, enjoyable movie that didn’t get nearly enough press.
Nice.
Great work, but the image seems cut off at the bottom when I click to see the full version.
Try refreshing. It’s working fine from what I can see.
Perfect Nick quote.
I’d swap out Max Schrek for Vincenzo Coccotti from “True Romance”.
“I’m the anti-Christ and you’ve got me in a vendetta kind of mood.”
Have you seen Suicide Kings? Where would you put his character from there? LE? NE?
But what of… The Continental?
This makes me so happy. Might I respectfully suggest Dennis Hopper as a subject, if you were bored?
Excuse me for being dumb, but what film is Chaotic Evil from?
Nick of Time.
@MGK: Maybe it’s just me, but I’m still getting this weird grey bar that obscures the bottom of the NE and CE quotes for some reason.
Though in the thumbnail it looks fine.
You might want to try reloading and resetting your cache (ctrl-f5 in Mozilla).

I mean, come on.
The problem is that Walken played Gabriel for three movies and there is, to say the least, character drift.
CG is Catch Me If You Can, right?
Where would you place the Blue Oyster Cult producer?
I would also have accepted Walken as MacDuff from Scotland, PA as the LG entry.
IMHO:
Suicide Kings Walken was NE, because in perspective, Leary was LE.
The Continental would be Chaotic Neutral, as he’s just not sinister enough to actually cross the moral event horizon.
The real question is Walken’s alignment in the SNL Census Taker skit?
@Ben

mmhhh… The Headless horseman is more of a chaotic neutral I’d say

Walken is not confined to any one morality.
You guys all know that you can find out which movie is which by mousing over the chart, right? The alt-text has an entire list cataloging them.
Which is not to denigrate the people who recognize each and every one of these films. There’s just a quicker way to find out than asking.
Also, seeing one of these for Samuel L. Jackson would be pretty boss.
Mitchell Hundred,
I fill incredibly stupid now. Thanks for that.

True Neutral, although True Cowbell and Cowbell Neutral are also acceptable.

@Cyrus, Would you accept fundead?
His role in the Weapon of Choice video is clearly the best choice for True Neutral.
I was once stuck on an actors name and said ‘the evil guy who’s always evil.
Everyone knew I meant Christopher Walken.
Is there some way to see a complete list of all the Alignment Charts? 🙂
(actually it turns out clicking “D&D Explains Everything” pretty much does it)
@Cookie McCool,
Has Hopper ever played an LG character?
@Strawhair:
Hoosiers maybe, after his character sobers up?
In Weapon of Choice, he’s Chaotic Good.
I knew before even looking at the chart that Nick of Time would be CE. That has to be one of the best portrayals of CE in film I’ve ever seen.
Of course, there’s the exterminator he played in Mousehunt….
Is it just me, or does he actually look less scary the more evil he gets?
That might be just me.
Where does the guy who puts googly eyes on plants fall?
The headless horseman is chaotic evil, certainly the one Walken portrayed, at least when he was human.
