“Mighty Ships is Discovery’s new show about, well, really big ships. This first episode is about the Crystal Serenity, which sounds like a bad perfume but is, in fact, the “world’s top cruise ship.” FUN FACT: the world’s “top cruise ship” is whichever one porn companies have not yet shot a porn movie on, so it changes every two or three years. We bet you didn’t know that! It’s highly technical, their ranking system.”
OTHER FUN FACT: The porn that will be shot on said boats will inevitably be entitled “Size Queens”.
I honestly found 2012 to be kind of gentle and toothless in regards to it’s targets, mostly going after the rather soft idea of well meaning but inadequate bureacracy than anything that approached an actual issue.
Now, back in 2000 there was an Australian series called that covered the same ground called ‘The Games’ about the sydney olympics that was both dark and funny. You should watch that.
When I saw the title in the guide, I thought that Market Warriors was about businessmen or bankers or something, in the same vein as Jimmy James: Capitalist Lion Tamer AKA Jimmy James: Macho Business Donkey Wrestler.
Also, Shipping Wars would be more interesting if it was about Livejournal denizens yelling at each other about their personal OTC’s on various genre shows and whether Spike or Angel is “the one” for Buffy, etc.

The Games was good stuff. I particularly liked the Newhart-style one-sided phone conversation about the length of the 100m track.
