I started streaming Elementary recently and it’s definitely better than I expected. On the Moriarty front, keep in mind that BBC’s Sherlock not only had a Moriarty tie-in in the first installment, has had some reference to or appearance of the character in literally every episode so far, I’m kind of impressed that Elementary held off for as long as it did.

Plus Elementary almost certainly won’t leave us with a cliffhanger finale and then not have a new episode filmed for an entire year, which is nice, not that I’m still bitter.

I have a question about HIMYM: The conceit of the show is that twenty-some-odd years from now, Ted’s kids will ask him to tell the story of how he and their mom met. And Ted feels, in order to tell that story, that he must lay out nine years worth of background. My question is: How long does it take Future-Ted to tell this story? That is, how long have his kids been sitting there listening to Future-Ted?

At some point they should make a reference to how long Future-Ted has been telling the story, and cut to the kids, using 2013 footage of the actors rather than 2005 footage. Dress them in conservative business suits to make them look older.
